An image is carved into a piece of linoleum, then cut into separate pieces to enable the individual pieces to be inked separately in different colours, reassembled like a jigsaw, and printed in one go. <br>In this course, learn different ways to create and print a multi-coloured image using the jigsaw linocut method. Sculpting Animals with Sarah Dean

Mondays 3:45 to 5:00<br>9 February to 30 March<br><br>Learn the process of making animal sculptures from polymer clay. Every animal sculpture begins with a wire armature, which acts like the animal&#39;s skeleton. Learn how to use reference photos to create an interesting and dynamic pose. Build the animal&#39;s muscle and flesh around the armature using polymer clay. Bring your sculptures to life with fine details, and textures. Before they are ready to paint, the polymer sculptures are baked in an oven to harden the clay. Once baked, the sculptures are ready to paint!<br><br>A materials charge of $15 is included in the class fee providing students with a block of polymer clay, a wooden board, wire, and aluminum foil.<br>The materials charge allows each student to make one medium-sized animal. If the student is a fast worker or wishes to make a larger animal, extra materials can be purchased through the KACC office for an additional $15.

The Ins and Outs of Weaving - With Daisey Bingham and Junko Moritz

Use a kumihimo disk to make a friendship bracelet or a fancy cord for your favourite hoodie. Make a one-of-a-kind loom from a branched stick. Use the loom to experiment with colours and textures to create a unique weaving.
